Anchorage/Wasilla, Alaska - CareDriver for elderly /disabled
Job duties include: Picking up clients from their residences, escorting them on outings in the community, and supervising them in an adult daycare setting.
CareDrivers are responsible for a group of three, sometimes four, clients at a time. CareDrivers also assist clients with daily tasks such as shopping, buying lunch at a restaurant, taking bathroom breaks, and, most importantly, engaging in educational and recreational activities for the day. We provide our employees with a company van.
The successful applicant must have a demonstrable ability to work as part of a team. Also, must have a strong work ethic, the ability to be flexible, and a true desire to make a difference in the lives of those we serve. Employees must be able to safely lift at least 50 pounds. For insurance reasons, all drivers must be at least 25 years-old. Please be advised, we ALWAYS perform background, criminal, and driving record checks as mandated by state law.
Starting wage is a minimum of $12 per hour. Our employees average $13.50 to $15 per hour, depending on experience, and we have a generous bonus program. We offer vacation and holiday pay, and flexibility for personal time off. Health insurance may be negotiated as part of a compensation package. We are a small, family-owned company where everyone is treated like part of an “extended family” and our goal is to maintain that characteristic as we grow. Part-time or full-time positions available. Our business generally expands as we move into summer.
