Looking for someone who is passionate about their work, who would be able to relieve primary caregiver every other weekend.We are looking for a caregiver/companion for our 32 year old, wheelchair dependent daughter who has aphasia.
The position includes but not limited to bathing, feeding, changing, keeping her area of the home neat, her laundry, and care of her cat and dog. Taking her to both medical and physical therapy appointments. Also to movies, lunch, various outings, adult day care, etc. Put her in her standing frame, do home PT exercises as well as occupational therapy exercises.
She is cognitively very aware. She enjoys tv, music, movies, travel, animals, and painting. Given her situation, depression is at times present. She is young, beautiful and has a great sense of humor (most of the time).
We are looking for the right person to be her caregiver/companion/friend all in one. Someone with a joy of life and laughter who will keep her mind stimulated and engaged. Ideally a person who is flexible, unencumbered and can travel with her/us on occassion. The person we hire must have references and be willing to undergo a background check.
